When Healing is not a Shortcut: Integrity in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy

9 to 10 October 2026 |  Maison Internationale des Associations, Rue Washington 40, Ixelles

What does it mean to practise with integrity in psychedelic-assisted therapy?

As the field of psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) grows rapidly, so do the questions we must ask ourselves — about ethics, power, patient experience, and the standards we hold ourselves to. This symposium brings together researchers, clinicians, patients, and thinkers to explore one of the most pressing questions in the field: how do we ensure that healing is genuine, grounded, and accountable?

When Healing is not a Shortcut is a one-day symposium organised by the Belgian Psychedelic Society (PSBE), designed to foster honest, multidisciplinary dialogue at the intersection of science, ethics, and lived experience.
